1. The short version
This policy covers the Peblumi app and its marketing website, operated by Cedarkeep LLC. “Peblumi,” “we,” and “us” mean Cedarkeep LLC, whose details appear in Contact us. It is written for parents, guardians, and other adults who help children use Peblumi.
What stays local, and what connects online
- No Peblumi account is required. We do not operate a cloud database of children’s reading progress or artwork.
- Age preferences, reading progress, favorites, saved activities, and coloring pages are kept on the device.
- The iPhone and iPad app uses Apple and RevenueCat for purchases. Those services process purchase-related information even though Peblumi does not have its own account database.
- Peblumi does not include advertising, public profiles, chat, or a public gallery for children’s work.
2. Information kept on your device
Peblumi stores the information it needs to remember your place and preferences in the app’s local storage. This includes:
- The child’s selected age group and the age filter used to browse books.
- The last book opened and saved page positions.
- Favorite books, saved Little Adventures, and narration or sound preferences.
- Coloring work saved as image files inside the app.
- Where an adaptive activity is used, local interaction counts and activity progress that help adjust that experience.
We do not upload this reading, coloring, or activity information to a Peblumi server or offer Peblumi cloud synchronization. We cannot access or restore these local files remotely. Your device’s own backup or transfer services may include app data, depending on your settings; those services are controlled by you and your device provider.
The app does not ask children to provide their name, email, exact date of birth, address, photo, voice recording, or precise location. Its story features do not require access to the camera, microphone, contacts, or location.
3. Purchases, Apple, and RevenueCat
On iPhone and iPad, Apple processes in-app payments and RevenueCat, Inc. helps Peblumi check, unlock, and restore purchases. We do not receive your full payment-card details or Apple Account password.
The purchase service can process a randomly generated app user identifier, receipts and transaction identifiers, the products purchased, purchase dates and status, and technical information such as device type, operating system, app version, and last app-use time. A purchased age collection’s product identifier can reveal which age collection was selected. A randomly generated identifier does not require an account or a name, but it can still distinguish one app installation or purchase record from another.
This service can connect when the app starts or returns to the foreground, before you make a purchase. An internet connection is needed to retrieve current purchase information, buy content, or restore purchases. Purchase records are used to deliver paid features, verify transactions, prevent fraud, handle support, and provide purchase reporting through RevenueCat’s dashboard. They are not used by Peblumi to advertise to children.
Under the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), Peblumi collects this anonymous identifier only to support the app’s internal operations: delivering, verifying, and restoring purchases, preventing fraud, and answering support requests. We do not use it, or allow RevenueCat to use it, to contact a specific person, to build a profile of a child, or for advertising, and we do not collect it for any other purpose.
The current integration does not send a child’s name, email, reading history, coloring files, or local activity progress to RevenueCat. Automatic collection of device advertising identifiers is disabled in the app’s RevenueCat configuration.
See Apple’s Privacy Policy and RevenueCat’s privacy information. RevenueCat processes app end-user information for its developer customers; requests about Peblumi’s purchase-service records should come to us so we can coordinate with RevenueCat.
4. Children’s privacy and parental control
Peblumi is designed for children approximately 18 months to 6 years old, with a grown-up involved in setup, purchases, and real-world activities. Children cannot publish information or communicate with other users through the app. We do not sell children’s personal information, use it for targeted advertising, or require children to submit contact information to read or color.
Local play data stays on the device as described above. The limited online processing for purchase services is described in section 3; the absence of a Peblumi account does not make those services entirely offline.
A parent or guardian may ask us to explain, review, correct, or delete personal information held by us or on our behalf about their child, and to refuse further collection or use. Use Contact Support in the app, email support@cedarkeep.com, or use the telephone or mailing address in section 11. You do not need a Peblumi login or a purchase to make a privacy request. See How to request deletion for the process.
Please do not send a child’s photos, full name, exact birth date, or other unnecessary personal information with a support request. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us, tell us so we can investigate and remove information that should not be retained. If a future feature requires additional parental notice or verifiable consent, we will provide the required notice and obtain consent before that collection begins. A grown-up purchase gate is not a substitute for legally required parental consent.
5. Website visits and support messages
The website
The marketing website does not create accounts, accept uploads, or use advertising trackers or analytics scripts. Its fonts and artwork are served with the site. Age selections and the open activity dialog are temporary page state, not a saved child profile.
The website is hosted on Cloudflare. Cloudflare, Inc. processes connection information such as IP addresses, requested pages, request times, and browser or network information to deliver and secure the site. Technical traffic records are separate from children’s local app data. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.
When you contact us
Contact Support opens an email draft for an adult to review and send. When the purchase service is available, the draft includes its existing anonymous app user ID as a support ID so we can find the relevant record, even if no purchase was made. You can edit or remove the ID before sending. Opening the draft does not send an email or delete information.
If an adult emails support, we receive the sender’s email address, the message, and any attachments or purchase information they choose to include. We use these to answer the request, troubleshoot a problem, and keep necessary support records. We use Fastmail Pty Ltd to receive, store, and send support email, including the sender’s email address, message content, and any attachments. See Fastmail’s Privacy Policy. Support correspondence is separate from children’s local app activity. Send only what is needed to explain the issue.
Links to other services
Following a link to an app store or another website takes you to a service with its own information practices. Your device provider may also handle backups or diagnostics according to your device settings and its own policy.
7. How long information stays, and how to delete it
Local app information: saved preferences and work remain on your device until you remove them or remove the app’s data. Deleting the app, rather than merely offloading it on iOS, generally removes its local files. Device backups or transfers may retain or restore copies; manage those separately in your device settings. Deletion can permanently remove reading progress and coloring work.
Purchase-service records: removing the app does not delete Apple’s or RevenueCat’s records. RevenueCat can hold an anonymous app user identifier even when you have not created an account or made a purchase. We retain purchase-related information only as needed to provide and restore access, resolve transaction issues, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations. Use the request process below for personal information held by us or by RevenueCat on our behalf. Apple handles its own transaction records and related requests.
Support and website records: support messages are used to answer your request. Website technical records are used to deliver and secure the site. We delete information when it is no longer needed, subject to specific legal retention duties.
Retention schedule
- We delete any verification material for a privacy request when that request is completed.
- Once a year, we delete support messages from requests resolved more than 12 months earlier.
- Once a year, we delete anonymous RevenueCat records that have no purchase, active entitlement, or open support issue and have not been used in the previous 12 months.
- We keep only purchase information needed to provide and restore paid access. We review that need once a year and delete information that is no longer needed. A verified deletion request can result in earlier deletion.
If a specific law requires us to retain information longer, we limit retention to the relevant records and required period. Apple controls its own store records. Provider backups and website logs may follow separate retention schedules. Contact us for information about those records.
Ask us to delete your information
Tap Contact Support in the app or email support@cedarkeep.com and tell us what you want deleted. No login or purchase is required. You can also use the telephone or mailing address in section 11.
We handle requests manually: verify the request, find the records using the support ID or other necessary information, delete information held by us or by providers acting on our behalf as required by law, and reply with the outcome. If the email draft has no support ID, we will help identify the records. Do not send passwords, payment-card details, or unnecessary information about your child.
We will explain any effect on paid access and any information that must legally be retained, including why and for how long. Deletion is separate from a refund. For reading progress and artwork stored only on your device, remove the app’s data and manage your backups separately; we have no server copy to erase.
You can also ask us to stop further collection or use. The purchase service can connect again when you use the app, so deleting a record does not prevent new collection. Stop using the app while we help resolve that request.
8. Your choices and privacy rights
You can manage favorites and saved work in the app, remove local data through your device, and choose whether to make purchases or contact support. Peblumi does not provide a server account to delete.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, restrict or object to processing, and withdraw consent where it is used. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. These rights depend on applicable law and do not require us to create or collect information we do not already hold.
Use Contact Support in the app or the contact details below for privacy requests. We will take reasonable steps to verify the requester without making the process unduly burdensome and respond within the period required by applicable law. Because local app data is not sent to us, we cannot retrieve it for you; we can explain the available device controls. We will not treat you unfairly for exercising your rights.
9. Security and international processing
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the limited information we handle. Local app data relies on your device’s security and backup settings. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use legally recognized safeguards for international transfers and require providers acting on our behalf to protect the information. Contact us for information about applicable safeguards.
10. Changes to this policy
We will update this page and its date when our practices change. For material changes, we will provide additional notice where required, and obtain parental consent before new processing when the law requires it. This policy does not authorize undisclosed collection simply because a feature is added later.
